Conversation and American Culture (Level 1) 180 Hours
Prerequisites：Passing ESL Level 6 or M-EPT Raw Score 71+ and Conversation and American Culture (Level 1) placement test raw 20-32
The Conversation and American Culture (Level 1) course is designed for international students to learn more about American culture while improving their English language listening and conversational skills. Interactive activities, focused listening tasks, personalized discussions, short written responses, challenging tests, and authentic projects enable students to explore each topic deeply. Upon the completion of this course, students will develop listening, note-taking, and discussion skills while studying American culture.
Conversation and American Culture (Level 2) 180 Hours
Prerequisites：Conversation & American culture 1 or passing ESL l6//M-EPT raw score 71+ and Conversation and American Culture (Level 2) placement test raw score 33-37
The Conversation and American Culture (Level 2) course is driven by content-based material and designed for international students to learn more about American culture while improving their English language listening and conversational skills using additional listening and speaking tactics. More interactive activities, focused listening tasks, personalized discussions, short written responses, challenging tests, and authentic projects enable students to explore each topic, facilitating a deeper linguistic and cultural understanding. Upon the completion of this course, students will increase their listening, note-taking, writing, and discussion skills while increasing awareness and understanding of cultural values of the United States, their own country, and other countries, fostering cross-cultural communication.
